Windy day

Day 17,  19 miles

It rained a bit last night. I woke to sounds of magpie calls,  tropical bird songs, and a bullfrog’s strange croaking.  It feels like I’m in a jungle.

It was so windy today.  We all tried to stick together,  but somehow Skippy is way ahead and I think Scott and Sarah are behind.  I am in a brand new, but empty, campground at mile 329, just off a highway.  It is a bit eerie and I am all alone.  We all planned on meeting at mile 342,  Cajon Pass.   Macdonalds on the PCT!!  So I will see them all tomorrow.

  1. Hi Sally,

I have read every single one of your posts and I am so proud of you. You are doing great! I’m sure it’s not easy with those disgusting toes of yours and all of the other challenges you’ve encountered. You sound so strong even through the adversity. Life dishes up all kinds of rattle snakes. Maybe that’s what it’s all about?

Also, your photos are stunning. I especially love the cacti shots. The trail looks spectacular.

Just wanted to know I think of you all the time and wish you strength and peace.

    xx Tara
