Day 48, 15 miles
After raining and snowing all night, the skies were clear when we woke. Everything was frozen solid. Tents, shoes, socks. We would be in the warm valley soon, so we packed up quickly and headed down the trail to the turn-off to the Paradise Valley trail.
Ahhhhh. Paradise. We passed the 800 mile mark! Then it was 15 miles down a beautiful trail. Gorgeous mountains, we enjoyed looking at, surrounded us. A lovely river followed the trail. Soon we could feel the warmth of the sun and we could take off a few layers. We were happy. New friends. A new day.
Enjoying your blog quite a bit, Sally! Lots of great pictures too. You seem to be getting stronger as the trail gets harder 🙂 way-to-go! That bird pic got me interested, so I looked it up; Western Tanager
